Hi all,

just wondering if any one has come across this before and has a solution?

c800 problem.jpg

hopefully the image comes out,

the lighter pink text is perfect, however the green looks like it hasnt been layed down right i have tried various settings with no improvement ?

The word Trident looks like it has image shift of half a mm or so the others again have some form of shift

Appreciate any help available

Many thanks

This is a colours misregistration. You need to run some service procedures including service test sheets to determine if is a machine problem or a RIP problem. Then that thing will be fixed.
The optimal solution is to place a sevice call for a tech.

We used to have similar problems with 4 colours not sitting bang on with each other, so we would see magenta slightly off from the rest of the type. A simple thing to try is open up the machine, open the tray where the colour drums are and close it again. This will cause the machine to recalibrate again once closed. This is what a tech told us to do on our 260 and it would work. It is not a permanent solution, but whenever we had that problem we did it and everything was fine again.

Unfortunately we had the same issue on our ColorPress when we had one. Xerox told us it was within spec.

Hi All,

All fixed,

certainly not within spec,

called the tech out, who recalibrated and did a few other service tests / prints etc,

he also recommended the Auto trapping feature, however on this job it put a very faint black line around (could be adiff colour but to the eye looked black)

coming out perfect again, nice solid grey and no colour shift

This is the best Xerox machine we have had to date,

Thank you all for help

jdiggy, Yes we returned it. Along with being told the machine was within spec many times, with front to back, and color registration issues, feeding issues, color calibration issues, and the machine having far under their uptime percentage (we were around 60%). We did stick with Xerox though and went with an iGen 150. So far we're pleased with the iGen.
