Oce Arizona 250GT Frequent Printhead Failure

Thats Great that you have had your site electrical checked. I was refering to the oce guys actually setting the electrical connections and verifies input and output. What part of the planet US, Canada, Europe Other requires different locations of taps on the OCE machine. I find it funny that a...

Oce Arizona 250GT Frequent Printhead Failure

I should correct myself. We have the OCE alter ego, Fuji Acuity HD which is identical in every respect except color. Service is marginal although we have a few OCE reps here that promise the moon and stars about service. Obviously here in Canada we are in a distortion field. At any rate we have...

Oce Arizona 250GT Frequent Printhead Failure

We you say they go ( fail ) are you talking about complete failure or just blockage ? I have found that even machines under so called contract have ink filter that are way overdue for changing. If you are talking about nozzle clogging there are ways to solve it without changing or removing the...

Sad but true,... these are the same people that cheap out, buy a really cheap underpowered PC ,keep it way beyond it life, complain,... then go and spend huge on a powerful Mac and have the nerve to say Mac's are great. Will not spend in the correct places.

More than likely its the software will not run on 64 bit. You could always try installing in compatibility mode but I think the drivers will not like the 64 bit windows. Does your new rip support 64 bit ?

did you say you are getting a GS3200 or QS3200, which head and ink ? Just curious, btw I have worked for Vutek and its not the same company as before, Since EFI took over it has dramatically changed. They need new Service management since Field Eng. are only concerned with filling time sheets.

Oce Arizona 250GT Frequent Printhead Failure

You got that right very pricey indeed, The issue is arizona printhead failures. so what environment the printer is in is important, static is a big one, and what materials printed are used, of course head stikes are deadly.

Oce Arizona 250GT Frequent Printhead Failure

Yeah small printers tend to be more fragile but that all depends on the workload, conditions ( not near a solvent printer, dust, static etc), and the operator, to some extent the field eng too. Vuteks tend to be of heavier metal , beafy with rugged parts, but the average is 2-4 per year per...

EFI 4.5 Rip running on a Mac

Ouch is pretty much it, although when I started a really crappy Mac ( high end at the time ) was 68K and was a boat anchor a few years later ( same goes for my first 16mb of ram being 980 dollars.) You should not be waiting around for the rip. 12 cores are great , the ram will barely get used...

EFI 4.5 Rip running on a Mac

Well thats sort of true. a good Xeon driven ( dual with multiple cores ) will be the ticket Mac or PC , basically the same difference, More power ( cpu speed is kinda useless except that multiple cores will do the trick. we have used this software with an I7 Mac and pc and for the GS3200 which...

EFI 4.5 Rip running on a Mac

First off, why would you use 323bit mode in any current system, PC or Mac especially, what a was of hardware. Next off , I cannot find a xerver versions anywhere,.. A Mac Pro has 2X 6cores so processing power is there, I can only think that the unlimited clients would be a reason for xserv but...
