Lab color read with i1 Pro 2

I personally use the free X-Rite ColorPort software, where I have created a single patch chart for spot measurements:

Sadly it appears that X-Rite have recently discontinued this software in favour of their latest i1Profiler software!

i1Profiler/Publish is similar, create a single patch and use this in a chart etc:

Others may use Tucanna Quality Control:

While some others may use SpectraShop:

Some others may use BabelColor Color Translator & Analyzer (CT&A)

I use Argyll CMS: http://www.argyllcms.com. It's a free open-source software package that follows the Unix philosophy (many independent commands that perform very specific functions that can be chained together, allowing you to do lots of things the software developers didn't have to think about to make possible). The command in this case is "spotread."
