I've designed a swatchbook illustrating the colors achievable in the GRACoL ICC Profile color space. I'd like to self-publish it, and so now I need to get it printed, and its going to be, by my standards, a big job - ~$100,000, I estimate.
I'd like to find a North American printer who wants to market themselves as a specialist in sheetfed offset printing to the G7 standard, so that they might be willing to give me some concession on the price of the job in return for promotional consideration. And then we would jointly pitch this idea idea to the design community via Kickstarter, which is how I would raise the money to pay for the print run.
Any chance any of you know of a printing company that would be interested in such a scheme? They would need to have a bindery capable of assembling a fandeck.
