Hi All
We are an Automation Engine (AE) user and we would like to be able to adjust the size and resolution of JPEGs and TIFFs using this tool.
At present we have a Applescript which is invoked by the Script Runner tool that opens Photoshop and resizes an image. However, whenever Photoshop errors (for a multitude of reasons) the workflow stalls and unless we are monitoring AE and Photoshop closely, we have no way of knowing that the workflow has stopped.
One possible solution is to use Script Runner to call a batch file that runs a command line picture transformation engine (such as Image Magick) to change the size. However, we are struggling to understand how to create the batch file and how to use Image Magick.
Do any of your perform similar tasks using AE and preferably Image Magick?
I guess our overarching question is how do we create a more robust image processing solution using AE?
Many thanks
Paul
