I am using an old Star 400 RIP with an Accuset 1000. It is set to Ethertalk Phase 2. I want to change it to TCP/IP so I can send files directly from Mac OSX (right now I am going through a PC with PC MacLan).
I understand about adding an IP address to the user boot file. But I can't find a file or code for "Enable TCP" in my RIP Tools folder. Do you know what that code is?
Also, once I change to TCP/IP in the user boot, will I lose my ability to communicate via AppleTalk (EtherTalk)? I am concerned that if something goes wrong, I won't be able to reestablish any connection to the RIP (right now I am using Agfaset and Mac OS 9).
