Pause Option in Fiery Command Workstation on Fiery FS100 for Xerox J75

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but if you right click the blue bar on the Fiery there are suspend, stop, resume etc. options.

    Print Sales

One of my favorites from salesmen, "C'mon guys, if "Company X" can do it then we should be able to as well!"

    Sharpening Cutter Blade

I'm also from Indiana! We get at least some of our blades sharpened at Accurate Cutting Technologies. Fairly cheap and they deliver to us.

    1000I Gold and Silver Ink

Out of the samples I have, they don't show off mixing other colors with the silver or gold. I'm assuming it is a similar concept with the clear where there is a max amount of ink coverage you can accumulate before it gets lost in the image. And honestly I'll say the silver and gold aren't...

    Altering Press Curves

Gordo, Thank you for this insight. This is some very useful information for not only the current subject, but for every day procedures.

    Xerox 700 Self Service

I found my manual for out 1000 at this site, looks like they also have some for the 700: http://www.manualslib.com/x/xerox+700.html My advice, only service things you feel comfortable with.

    Xerox ColorPress 800 Fault 42-331

Ah yes, that makes sense. I just had something similar with a dispense motor fault. I'm assuming since those things are supposed to be a technician's fix the PCUI wants to make sure a tech actually did it. Glad you have it fixed, thanks for sharing your final results!

    Xerox ColorPress 800 Fault 42-331

Sorry for the delay, I checked this morning on startup. The belt doesn't immediately rotate. You'll hear various motors fire up, then the stackers (if you have them) and then when the machine goes into Adjust Image Quality is when the belt actually started to move. So it sounds like the machine...

    Xerox ColorPress 800 Fault 42-331

94-311 is quite literally "Image Belt Transfer Error". I would first check your cleaning station. If it is backed up it can leave ink on the belt and throw the fault. You can also check the home position sensor on the outboard side of the belt. I think it needs to be on the top right side for...

ELI5: Why are CMYK conversions different using Pantones new Lab colors

Hi gig0, I think this line from Stephen might be where you are getting caught up on. My explanation to a 5 year old; Because they want to. I understand you are looking for more of a scientific explanation than that, but I'm not sure there is one. Think of it this way: CMYK: Process Lab...

Want to know SOPs for quality printing

I think I understand what Gordo's point is. We have two sides to our factory, one produces charitable gaming. The image "quality" of these items don't hold much value to the customer. They are more worried about the payouts coming out the way the should, not if the color on the ticket holds up...

Xerox Colour 1000i - Gold, Silver and Clear

Hi Josh, I have been told something similar from Sales Reps, but when I mentioned the change between developer housings to Techs they pretty much told me they have no idea how that would work. Can you give me some information on how one station can separately house the three different colors? I...

    Versant verse Xerox 800/1000

It is actually a Clear Spot Varnish. Used to enhance logos, highlights, security etc.

    Versant verse Xerox 800/1000

I don't have experience with the Versant, but DYP is right on the toner with the 800/1000. We had a customer return a product because they said we printed it on C1S. It was on uncoated paper and the toner lays down so glossy it looks like coated stock. But, since the clear toner for 5th unit is...
