Are you encountering the problem with card stock only? The dc5065 has rather poor registration for long grain card stock. It can be as bad as +/- 2mm. You may want to try running a lower weightage setting for the reverse side to decurl it. It should work.

Not sure about Xerox Europe prices, but for fuji xerox, the versant 80 pricing is similar/lower than the j75 as the versant 80 can be configured with an offset catch tray.

it would be best to wait for the versant 80. Large jump in print quality over previous gen due to the new fuser belt design. I would rate the print quality improvement to be the about the same as coming from a dc260 to a 700dcp.

Different countries have different pricing. A good guess would be the pricing of the current products they are replacing. Buyers in the launch year may have to pay a premium though.

Looks like an interesting 2015 ahead for light production machines. The last few years have been boring with no huge breakthrough in this sector. I have seen the white / clear toner print samples from Ricoh Pro 7100x. Impressive output I must say for a machine at a price point replacing C751.

700i can duplex up to 200gsm on most stocks with +/- 1mm registration. up to 250gsm on selected stocks with +/- 1mm registration. 300gsm should be run duplex if accurate registration is not required.

If the intention is to run xerox stock only, the 550 will be a better choice. One more suggestion, if you are in the APAC region and very sure quantity will not exceed 5000 prints a month, the DC1450 could be perfect for your requirements.

Running heavyweight stock can be tricky for the 550. Main issues to look out are... 1) Several heavyweight stock cannot be run from the large capacity tray. 2) Feeding the stock from the MSI(bypass tray) will then work, but it is labour intensive and can cause registration issues. 3)...

Totally agree with the paper issues in the high cap feeders, it is of the very few things we hate about the 700. Otherwise, it is a wonderful machine for us.

I have used a c451 before. It is a very good copier for printing documents but cannot be compared to the 5065. the c6500 would be a better comparison. If speed is not a concern, you could explore the possibilty of a used dc1256 or dc 1257 or a canon c1.
