Hi Guys.
I am new here and after hours of searching online and on the forum to see if I could figure this issue out, I am finally making a post.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Xerox DCP 700i and I am having an issue with banding on the cyan. See photo attached.
The machine has only 215k clicks total, and is overall in great shape and has been taken care of. I had it moved here from Toronto and I am willing to bet that that is what caused this problem.
So far, I have tried swapping drums, swapping fuser, swapping IBT all to no avail. The one band still appears on the cyan in the same spot.
I did briefly take the drawers out and gave the ROS glass windows a quick wipe from the bottom and nothing changed again.
I am having a hard time finding a good xerox tech in my area (xerox canada wont touch the machine because its out of service contract) so that has added to my frustrations.
I am very knowledgeable about technology and quite handy so I have mostly been doing my own maintenance. This issue, however, is something that I just haven't been able to solve.
I want to say its either a ROS issue, or a developer issue, but I am not an expert at either of those parts so I dont know what those problems normally look like. Perhaps its a bad wiper or something on the developer housing? IDK.
As for the ROS... I do hear that sometimes crap can get into the other side of the glass, where the ROS has to be totally removed, cracked open, and the glass taken out and cleaned (unless I can get the window out from the bottom)
I feel like cracking open a sealed unit, that was probably assembled in a clean room, is only going to cause more issues.
Help... Please...
