DPM 2340 RIP Says Still Heating but Activator Chemicals Actually OVER temperature

Most of the time when we start up our platemaker the RIP will still say it is heating up long after it should be up to temp. If we go stick our finger in the activator you can feel that it is much hotter than usually. We see condensation on certain parts where there normally isn't condensation and you can just generally feel the heat emanating from processor rack. The next thing we usually do is take out the rack, put on a glove and just kind of wipe off the thermistor probe and over-temperature sensor. The RIP immediately says it is at temperature, we close the doors and it starts processing plates.

We want to do a DIY replacement of the necessary parts. Anyone of a guess on whether it is the Thermistor Probe or the Over Temperature Sensor?

I'm leaning toward thermistor probe. Thanks.
