Changing PDF default setting

I am using Preps 6 for layout and printing to a PDF from it.
I then drag the PDF layout to my RIP hot folders.

I want to remove the compression that the default PDF settings apply. I think the compression is adding noise to my raster files.

Does anyone know know how to adjust this? I am using Acrobat CS5 (9.4.4) on a Mac running OS 10.6.7

Thanks

Not sure if Preps 6 is the same way, but older versions of Preps simply passed the PDFs straight through (no settings to be applied at the Preps stage), so any compression settings would be found at the point of initial PDF creation.

If you change the compression on input (initial preflight) to flate/zip compression then it shouldn't be a problem later. Acrobat Pro, Enfocus PitStop and callas pdfTooolbox can change the image compression quite easily.
