Digimaster 9110

Hello everybody.
Recently we have got one used Digimaster 9110, but it has turned out that Sun workstation HDD is broken and there is no software CDs in the package.
Well, it can work with any average HDD and Solaris OS is easy to find in the Internet, but the printing software remains a mystery.
So, can anyone make images of software install CDs etc. and upload them somewhere?
Thank you very much.

I'm fearful that you are about to become the poster boy for the pitfalls of buying used equipment. The software no doubt lives on the Sun HDD. Have you:

Contacted the entity you bought this boat anchor from and requested the CD's?
Was it on a MTC contract when you bought it? If so you may have some recourse
Do you know if the device has the current revision of software?
Did you sign any kind of contract or have a receipt stating what was supposed to be delivered?

Sadly I'm afraid you're about to discover the high cost of cheap

Yes, but it isn't the only place: the MIP box is a wonderful machine (with HDD) too.

Probably they have lost them :(

What is the "MTC contract"? Is it a kind of service/support contract?
Probably it wasn't on that "contract" or it had already expired.
If that previous owner had such contract, they shouldn't have trying to recover that HDD (not really recovering, but making the thing worse) :D
Do you know if the device has the current revision of software?
Do you mean software, firmware or both? Do you know what are the latest versions?
I don't know what version it had, but it seems it's pretty outdated.

No signs of contract's existence, unfortunately :D

Yes, right you are :)

I did a bit of research into what the cost would be for your Digimaster to be brought "Up to Spec". The numbers I got were staggering. "Tell him to budget between 50,000 and 75,000USD. Based upon that dollar figure you might want to talk to an attorney as it's looking like somebody pulled a fast one on you.

By the way, there is a nice Canon iR110 etc. FAQ page:
Black and White Products Support Page
The drivers can be found there:
Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : imageRUNNER 110
Digimaster Drivers Main Page - Kodak Graphic Communications Group

The service center specialists are so greedy. It's wonderful...
Well, don't forget I've asked not for service assistance, but just for the system/service sofware.
(If anyone has got this stuff and wants to help us, please send a private message).
