Export artpro files to ai

You dont:=)
Wel it is possible but the result wil always be bad, the reason for that is that ArtPro files are to diffirent to what Illustrator can handel.

The best you can do is exporting a HR pdf file, opening the file in Illustrator as a refference and rebuild it native in Illustrator.

All depends on what you need to do with it.

Thanks.
I can export as a layered PDF, but this PDF, when opened in AI, loses the layers.

Esko do an illustrator plugin, (DeskPack PDF Import for Illustrator)
which enable you to open their normalised PDF which you can export from Artpro.
This plugin maintains layer integrity along with screening angles and other information from the Artpro file.

There is a 30 day trial available from there website:
DeskPack Modules: Tools for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop - Esko

Hope this helps.
