    Koronas rusting on KM 6500

No other parts have any signs of corrosion. All other parts seem to be wearing normally. I think this is a mystery fit for scooby do and the gang.

    Koronas rusting on KM 6500

Monthy volume is low, about 20,000. KM has confirmed that it is corrosion. The effects are uneven screens and solids as well as the inability to get a consistent calibration. When the corrosion starts my calibration can only get to about a Delta E of 3 to my baseline calibration. This is very...

    Koronas rusting on KM 6500

Ive been told by KM that they are made of stainless steel which I have confirmed. I have also confirmed that it is a grade of stainless steel that is very low in chromium. This lack of chromium makes it prone to heat fatigue and corrosion. I have also tested a cortron grid from an IGEN 3 and it...

    drop shadow on Igen 4

If you have spot color matching capabilities with your rip then you do not want to convert your spot colors to CMYK. You will get a better match as spot. With this function, the RIP does not just simply convert to the bridge build, it uses a L*a*b* reading to get as close as possible to the...

Im looking for someone that has a MR 700 that is about a 1995 vintage. Im looking for a copy of a certain disk that comes with the console. If you have one of these presses that is around 1995 vintage, +/- a year, please contact me. If you have what I need we could work a deal...

    drop shadow on Igen 4

What rip do you have on the IGEN? What are you printing out of? Is it a PDF? Drop shadows are a transparency so you have to be sure that if you are using a PDF, the settings dont flatten the document. Most likely you are getting flattening from somewhere.

    Need loads of advice :)

For the $10,000 budget... I would see what Xante' could do for you. Decent quality. Affordable and can even do board stock. Its a digital world so if you arent finding what you need locally then go elsewhere. Be sure your color management practices are sound before moving on. I have seen many...

    drying problem. still.

I second the notion to check the surface PH of the paper. If the surface is slightly acidic it can neutralize the driers in the inks. Even a sheet that has a lot of "calcium in the coating" can be slightly acidic. Alkalinity can fade over time and this can be accelerated depending on the...

    Successive Unit Mottling

I had a similar issue on our Man Roland 700 and it turned out to be transverter grippers. Check this problem with a thicker sheet and see if it goes away.

    Koronas rusting on KM 6500

We have been having an issue with the screens on our Koronas rusting. My shop is climate controlled and humidity is constant at about 45. Im wanting to know if anyone else has had this issue with this or any other machine.

    Help with digital equipment decision

I have evaluated both of these engines and although they are priced close together that is all that is fair to compare. The 700 is operator serviceable (which means less down time) and is available with the FreeFlow front end which, in my opinion, is better than the EFI solution (I could write a...
