Would a Oki 9800 handle not just printing 8.5 x 11 4/4 with VDP but could it also address 6x9 and 9x12 pre-printed envelopes?

Ok guys I'm ready to bring my print jobs in house. Please help me pick a machine. I was thinking about getting a few hp4350's and laying the VDP on offset shells which is an option I would like to be able to print 6x9 and 9x12 color envelopes and would like to print color 5.5by8.5 and 8.5 x...

so I get all my variable data via csv file but i need to be able to BOTH lay the variable info on a pre-printed 8.5 x 11 AND i need to spit out bar codes with the address so I can ship as automated flats. Any ideas? Once again thanks for all your help guys.

Scotsman60, This is great info thanks! Ill pick up a 4350 on ebay and start testing... Ill be getting my data in a csv file nightly so now ill just have to figure out what software on my mac to use... maybe mail merge on word but ive never done that either :) Thanks so much for the help.

Hey Scotman60, You sound like you are leaving the stage I am just getting into.. I have a little gig where i need to lay B&W variable to about 40,000 8.5 x 11 a month on preprinted.. I need to go cheap and will be getting the data nightly via csv file to start... What software do you suggest...

ok I am a SMALL shop... I buy 25,000 already printing 8.5 x 11 a month and daily I want to run Black only via some Variable DP to add the personalization. So ill only be doing like 1,000 a day... What is the cheapest thing i can get? I dont have space for something huge nor the $$ for it...
