We have always provided the 1/2" trim. You can get away with 1/4" but run the risk of glue smearing. That extra little bit catches any excess glue and ensures a cleaner end product. If it doesn't cost more, ie. changing press sheet size, then why not? Just my .02 Greg

Well, if you know the paper you are printing on you can do some calculations from the basis weight to determine the final weight. Not an ideal situation but it would get you close.

Our storefront solution has a spot to enter weight per xx pieces. Then, depending on qty ordered, it calculates the total weight and brings in UPS costs for the end user. HTH
