Is the Ricoh Pro C7500 comparable to the Versant 4100?

if I remember the 1st generation correctly, I would have said run away.... now that they are on the 5th Gen, and spec wise, I'd say they are definitely worth looking into. 5th ink would definitely be an improvement over the 4100. The max GSM is nearly identical (400+ vs 470? can it...

    Versant 280 White Banding Mottle

I've gotten 2nd BTRs with bad lift mechanisms/bad home sensors. Glad they could figure it out.

    Envelope printer

IntoPrint bought out OKI for north america. https://www.intoprint.com/sub-category/digital-toner-printing We have an OKI 931e with a DF-330 envelope feeder, which is just a 31ppm version of the 1360. Same exact machines, just a different logo on it.

Versant 280 Alignment Range, specifically skew

super heavy stocks you may need to increase your "Aligner Roll Pressure", I find this under "Advanced Stock Setup", this increases the amount of pressure placed against the registration. this would correct for a small amount of random skew. **Edit... you know when the value is too high if you...

    Versant 280 White Banding Mottle

Cross direction?: power as stated pcb the flywheel on the bed that co-locates with the 2nd BTR bad cable harness/connection on the drum bed

    Versant 280 White Banding Mottle

lots of things to look at. These are in the direction of printing? if so: 2nd BTR (though usually they all have the same image defects on every color) dev housings (are there lumps of toner in it?) durty ross windows (not impossible, but weird they are on every color) what do your drums look...

    Matte Fuser look Ricoh 9500

I can't speak to the 9500 specifically... but... typically its the toner itself that makes it look "Glossy", even on an un-coated stock. I have, in the past, gotten less "sheen" by printing inks at a lower density. Assuming you are Fiery based, you can create an output curve, where you have...

New magnetic Laser-compatible stock - Digital Magnecote

10k sheets? on a KM8000? I guess printing single sided you don't have to worry about image registration LOL

    Recent experience with Vendor proposals...

while the CREO and the Fiery do pretty much the same thing, one can say "that computer runs 'Windows'"... some versions of windows run better than others. Creo was bought by another company maybe 6-8 years go, so their products may have gotten better, I don't know but the bitter taste of that...

Is an Imagerunner 5000 worth fixing?

yeah, someone with one *might* want it for parts... scrap yard is hard too, as with all the electronics they won't take it unless it was stripped to the frame. I would just put up a "*FREE* you come get" listing on Craigslist

    Xerox J75 - First Impressions and Review-ette

A3/A4 paper? you in Europe? Our machines actually might be slightly different then... I just hit 99k (and first drum change... didn't even "need" it actually) and 155k on the other... not bad for the first 5 weeks of use

Is an Imagerunner 5000 worth fixing?

1.1M isnt' a ton of impressions, but without a service contract of any kind any printer will be stupid expensive to repair/maintain. I have to agree, that kind of money would probably be best spent on something newer/better.

    Xerox J75 - First Impressions and Review-ette

any time a new machine comes out, there are always bugs... we were the first company in all of Denver to get a J75, it literally JUST came out. If you want to talk about "buggy", you should have seen the release of the Canon 7000VP LOL! Most are not "problems" per'se, I've just been...
