    Duplo Staples Wanted

I could be wrong but are they the same as the older Xerox staple cartridges? ASF100/135 8R3839 8R3838 are codes I have written down - could be wrong though.

Does anyone use AI within the Print Industry

With an older version of chatGPT I was able to create a full online estimating calculator for my website which ties into woocommerce. All custom calculations with options chosen for a product - most others I looked at had a pricing matrix that needed to be made and updated for all options. You...

FUJI Revoria press pc1120 - Texture toner?

So Xerox will supply you the TX cartridges included in your click as per CMYK rather than White/Gold/Silver/Clear/Pink where you need to buy them yourself?

I'm hoping Affinity can improve/simplify their current implementation of data merge.

How to Set Up a Perfect Bound Book w/Custom Spine Calculator in InDesign

Thanks! That's perfect. Much easier than other instructions I saw ages ago - maybe it's the video format gets it across much easier than text.

How to Set Up a Perfect Bound Book w/Custom Spine Calculator in InDesign

Yeah I guess so. Our binder has side glue so the hinge crease is needed. Think we've settled on 7mm hinge.

drupa has little to do with print

Great write up. I was lucky enough to travel to the other side of the world and attend my first Drupa this year. After the initial WOW factor, I was hit with the thought that print is extremely buoyant in Europe, followed closely by that's what the vendors need us to believe as they themselves...

    How to judge paper quality?

Sorry I'm not able to help. Sounds like an environment issue. I came in to my factory on the weekend and saw some jobs left out to be trimmed had gone a bit wavy over the weekend and that's with two heat pumps running constantly - now on dry mode. I don't think it'd be the paper. It's likely...

    How to judge paper quality?

In NZ we really only have 3 main merchants. BJ Ball, B&F Papers and Spicers. Each have certain brands which they stock. I mostly use BJ Ball but have recently purchased some stock from Spicers specials list - a really nice Soporset Digital Uncoated. If I'm shopping for an established quality...

How does your company file projects once complete?

We also file by job number. My software automatically adds a folder to my server with JobNo - ClientCode - JobName so we can sort by latest jobs. For reprints we do the exact same. Didn't seem worth having a seperate process. For very regular jobs/clients we'll make a colour guide which we keep...
