    Looking for a Vutek QS series ink reseller

    As many others around the world, we are stuck with our supplier that is setting ink pricing at his convenience. We own a Vutek QS 3220 with QS series 2 inks and we would like to purchase original inks at a good price. Any seller in the EU would be good. Could you suggest some?

    RGB to CMYK - different values

    Hi there, Doing rgb to cmyk conversion is quite a dangerous thing if not following any principle. Be aware that in any of the conversion you are trying, all text blacks will be CMYK composite blacks, which is not a good thing. Let me know if I can be of further help.

    Rgb -> cmyk

    Hi Inivin the best thing to do when printing an RGB image using an offset printer is to completely re-create separations with a PRO tool. On RGB images black is not present and it has to be created by a software. Given that your offset press is able to reproduce a color space which is at least...

    Need recommendations for new digital color machine

    Based on your needs it seems you would like to give a eye to the new Konica Minolta C6000 or C7000. Based on availability in your country, first give a look at specs and then ask for a quote, you should get one of it between 40 to 60K bucks. Add EFI Fiery PRO, high capacity feeder and decurler...

    Konica C8000

    Anthony I was pretty much sure that we could hardly expect the C8000 to be delivered by the end of the year. But clues are now that I could be wrong :) Can you give us some more detail? Which configuration? CPC? Whatever you find you can share with us would be appreciated. I have personally...

    KM 65hc is it good for photo printing ?

    Yes it is. Be aware that toner based machines have still some minor quality issues, so don't expect the same quality of a minilab or wideformat pigment based printers. All this said the KM C65HC is the best digital printer for color gamut and RGB color space use. You should think about getting...

    Thinking about getting a wide format ink jet printer for my photography

    I think that the best all-in-one solution is something new from HP. Their wideformat printers all have built-in calibration, icc color profiles, a spectrophotometer and simple accounting features. The best for photography is absolutely the Z3200 photo. It is cheaper than Epson and inks last...

    So....Why should I Buy a KM8000 over a Xerox 1000? (or vice versa)

    Both machines were presented in Europe at ipex in Birmingham, and despite the big hype behind the new Xerox 1000, and the small claim of the KM 8000 (probably due to the low level approach they use), the big news are for Konica Minolta. Product is an all new machine which spots real 1.200 x...

    C6500 solution book

    I would go for the professional one. Also the embedded one does trapping, but you can't configure it out as you prefer. Most important difference is in ripping speed and color management. On the PRO, you can create as many calibration tables as you want and associate them to output profiles...

    Oce and KM selling same box

    Ocè is quitting service contracts in my area, even if they are still getting parts and material from OEM Konica Minolta. They also lack in competence over software, RIP and color management. I would definitely go for the Konica Minolta in a multi year relationship plan.
