Yes Yes Yes Only you can decide if a RIP is worth it for you. We have been running a EFI Rip for our Epson 9800, HP Z6100 and Vutek digital presses for years. Once calibrated and max ink limit set the prints are much better

Both our 9890 Epson and our HP Z6100 have gone thru the same thing. Its a real PITA

Don't know how far you are from Philadelphia but we have an HP 5500 NON PS we are selling for $250.00. It has a full set of ink. It last ran about a year ago.

Our 1 Lacie it set up the same. It automatically backs up another one, basically a copy of a copy. Its a breeze to set up and all done thru the web interface.

Theirs nothing like Apple's Time Machine, we use this on our iMac's. We also have (4) 10TB Lacie network drives, set to RAID 5 . LaCie - LaCie 5big Office + Our job folders are numbered, and its just a matter of dumping the folders every day or two (after the job is completed on the Lacie drive.

Its a love hate with Adobe, with have up to CS6. I use CS4 AI for 99% of my work. Its seems to crap out less than 5 or 6. We also see very little difference between 4,5 and 6. Yes Adobe is like crack.......sort of. I still wish they would use some of the things Freehand had

We have a Luscher Jet Screen, we are also using Harlequin also. Not the best but it gets the job done. We print 63, 85 and 133 line. One 63 and 85 our yellow is FM, Super C. We are running 390 mesh

Even if they don't call HP or the company your company bought the printer from..........its time to vent on someone

Do you have a service contract for the printer? If you do I would get on the phone ASAP. Have you done all the firmware updates? We had a sizing issue about 18 months ago, had our service tech in and he saw it. The 1st thing he did was to update the firmware, what ever he did worked Good luck

Wayne We use HP Premium Vivid Color Backlit Film. We like it a lot. Its not as translucent as matt film but its pretty close. It comes in 36, 42, 54 and 60 inch wide Part # HEWQ8747A, (36 INCH) ETC...... 48A, 49A, 50A SILH and Intellicoat both make products for your printer also...
