Looking for a used spectrodensitometer for G7. Trying to find a used 528 or something similar that will give me the options to measure Density,Dot Gain,Dot Area,L*a*b*.

Any more information on the 528? Is it still for sale? Any factory warranty left? What year was it made? If still for sale can you send me the serial number in a PM?

Find the skinniest person in the shop and send him or her under there. We have the same problem with our Shinohara 74VP. Dropped sheets over time will build up and then add little scuffs or marks. If the paper is stuck in the press water helps break it down so you can pull it out easier. Good Luck

Don't mean to hijack the thread but along with finding a good proofer, have they made any changes on making it easier to back up proofs more accurately? We also have a 9600 and backing up two sided proofs is not very user friendly.

The main problem we have had with unwrapped paper is dry or tight corners. Trimming the edges usually helps with this. As for wrinkles, we have most of our problems right after the perfector.

The only two problems that I see are the tack's of the inks and the time seperation of the printing sequence. On our Shinohara we have a perfector between the 2nd and 3rd units and sometimes we will have a fit issue on the back of the page. We have checked all of the grippers, packing, and...

THe first thing I would check is the ink roller train to make sure you do not have a roller going bad, or one out of adjustment that is building up ink. Are you running the same color in that unit? Could it be a bad batch of ink that did not get a good grind? Tack to high? have you tried...
