    LOL!! We just replaced the heat exchanger last week for that same problem. Now our refrigerant guy is back again because of a faulty part that was leaking the freon. At least Technotrans gave us a good discount that paid for the fix, just not the down time.

    Anyone know of the best way to prevent cracking on the scores of a carton, when printing darker solids and UV coating? No cracking on the correct fold, just when it's back folding.     Cutter dust/rough edging?

    I think that it is the quality of the paper & fiber strength. I've notice over the last several that you get the dust more and more also. We have become accustomed to doing a back trim on almost every thing or plan out the cutting better to allow the finish edge to always be inside the cutter...

    Glue Tape for Gloss UV pocket folders

    They look like little squiggles that are cut into the paperboard, to allow glue to penetrate better. Not sure if it works with tape.

    Ink Dams

    Our company had tubes made that were filled with sand and capped on either end. This displaced the ink in the fountains enough that they only had to make half the ink needed.

    Actually, you are correct and incorrect? The way the ink was designed, because of certain components in the ink that can not be used in the LM process, the coating is formulated to combine with the ink and start the drying process. From what I understand, the LM will not dry if not coated.
