I am looking to switch from a Xerox 700 to a Canon C700. Has anyone done that? Is the quality comparable. Xerox want to up grade me to the Versant 80 but a big increase in cost will come with that upgrade. The Canon's cost will be the same as my Xerox 700.

They recommended making everything a PDF but I send a lot of stuff straight from Corel Draw. It pretty much works just like ant other printer as far as the interface is concerned so I'm pretty sure any software could be used to send from.

Never had an issue with Xerox Docucolor 242. If I do have a problem in the future, I'll use the Memjet Mach 5. I've already ran several letterheads on it when it's imperative for the ink color and sheen to match.

I really can't answer either question at this time. I also have a Xerox Docucolor 242 that I've used in the past for such flyers. I pay .07 a click on it even on tabloid size so I will probably continue using it for jobs like you describes since the cost would be around .009 ea for the flyers...
