    cannon click price yearly increase

Even if you don't get the cpc fixed, you can negotiate a cap on the annual percentage increase. This doesn't need to be a mystery in your contract, just ask them to write it into the deal.

    Xerox 770

Duty Cycle is the worst term in the world. Every company calculates it differently, and all of them overstate the true targeted monthly volume. Compare the targeted or recommended average volumes in the Xerox CED's for the 700, 770, etc. I'd be surprised if there was much difference.

    UV coating difference Ricoh C900/C901

Is your coater a tech lighting box? If so, I believe you will be fine. That said, you should just call the uv coater manufacturer.

    Xerox 550 – KM C5501 or Canon C9065

My humble opinion: Xerox 550 - no major upgrades over previous generation product, but still a very good low cost box. KM 5501 - look at their new product, C6000. It auto-duplexes 300gsm. Canon 9065 - just not a fan of the Canon units in this class. Ricoh C651 - have a look at it. Pretty...

    Anyone familiar with Ricoh 1107EX?

@skinflint, what's your volume like? Not sure what one would expect from a 90 ppm machine, but retiring a unit after 15 million clicks doesn't sound that bad to me. Unless my math is off, that's 150k/mth for 100 mths (approx 8 years) or 200k/mth for 75 mths (approx 6 years). Either way, I...

    Copier purchase

Just for clarity, to the best of my knowledge, the Toshiba high volume BW machines are re-badged Ricoh's. Sharp manufacturer's their own units. Have a look at the units, the Toshiba and Ricoh look identical and the Sharp is completely different.

    KM C7000 vs RICOH C751EX

lfelton, are you going to leave us in suspense? Would love to know your findings, understanding that they are subjective. Cheers.

    Xerox 770 Experiences

The xerox websites show a targeted monthly volume of 20-75k for the 770. That would likely be based on 8.5x11 20lb bond. That said, I know of people that have pounded volume off of the 700's with minimal issue ... They've just needed to upgrade prematurely.

    Xerox 8080 speed

Did your test on the KM8000 include rip time? That seems slow. I know it drops to 70ppm above 300gsm, but still. As for the 8080, sorry haven't seen a unit anywhere yet.

    Ricoh 651/751

Prajna, The 651/751 can come with an additional fuser that is user replaceable. Not sure I see the benefit of a device running two fusers instead of one. From my perspective, two fusers gives two points of failure ... would be interested to know your take on this.

    Xerox ColorQube and offline finishing

ColorQube ... Really? ColorQube ... Really? Would love to know what model you are looking at. Last time I saw anything off of a ColorQube it did not look remotely close to output you could sell. Has something changed? I would doubt Xerox is offering this as a production unit. Are they...

Xerox DocuColor 5000 versus DocuColor 7002/8002

Folks, I am a Ricoh employee and I'm not promoting the Ricoh product in this string, but have to ask a question ... After reading all the issues you are experiencing with the 5000, why on earth would you consider solving your problem by buying more equipment from the same vendor? Hope this...
