Xerox 252 and KM 5501 - Prices in the US?

The Xerox is more because it actually works. I don't think I've read any posts about someone raving about a KM machine. Xerox standard color price is 8.9 and 1.29 for BW without any click plans. The machine costs is around 70k fully configured I believe as of about a year or two ago. That is for...

Graphic design/Marketing company looking for advice on a digtal press.

This is a typical problem, that is pretty significant that a lot of people have brought up in the forum before. Just because it looks easy and you can push a little green button to make stuff print nice in a demo doesn't mean it will. There are lots of factors your company should be looking at...

    Laminating iGen4 Product

We run a Xerox for book covers and laminate all the time, never once had a problem that was caused by the machine. Have you tried Super Sticky, or Super Tack Lamination? Its a GBC Laminate, that comes in gloss only.

We are mainly a book manufacture and use +1mil 20x26 10 and 12 pt a year cut down 12pt is about $0.0667 a sheet for 18v12 or 19x13. Yellow Dots on Xerox Digital Prints

As others have said, a digital print is quite obvious. I've never seen a glossy $100.00 bill, but then again who else has seen the toner cracking off currency. I guess you all didn't hear about the guy that tried passing a $1 Million Dollar bill at Wal-mart? The Smoking Gun: Archive someone is...

Xerox 242 Color Shifts during Runs

Piney, We bought out machine through Fujifilm, who we have a very good relationship with. They made clear the pitfalls of the 242 series verse the say 5000AP. We didn't get "kool-aid" speech from Xerox on what great things the machine can do. We knew long before the purchase what we were...

    Docucolor 252 printing 13 X 19

Re: Docucolor 252 printing 13 X 19 We use a 242... have found out that tray 5 is pretty bad with jams... We use it only on short runs, i.e 5 sheets.. to color calibrate.. it jams 10pt to 70# text stock... one thing that does help is not to slam the pile flush against the inside of the tray, but...

    Laminating Doc-12 prints

Re: Laminating Doc-12 prints As mainly an offset book printer, we laminate a lot of covers. The laminator service we use, makes sure to ask what Digital press we have so they know how much Fuser oil they have to deal with. As others have said, we got an invoice that said Superstick on it. So...

Xerox 242 Color Shifts during Runs

We recently, within the last 4 months bought a Xerox 242 with Fiery Rip through Fuji Film. So far it has been a really good machine. However, over the last several jobs I've noticed that color has been changing on the sheets. I used one of our offset Xrites to check the color and sure enough...

Re: Xerox DC260 with light production finisher - does it need cleaning?? Jeffery, Several months ago we got our first digital press, a xerox 242 with the same inline binding line that you have. Ours was working great at first, as you had mentioned with yours. Then in the middle of a job it...
