Yes, it's called gloss coating. Also, some web inks are very glossy as well.

I use Actega matte varnish 377. Runs really well, but needs to be stirred in the fountain, or at least watched, so it doesn't back away from ink ductor. If you are running the water speed to high it would cause the varnish to break down. Good luck

Lol! I guess everyone is busy? I tried to UV coat it and it failed. Sealed it great, but it lost 50 - 70% of its cling ability.

Has anyone printed on Cling stock recently? I want to know if I can put a coating on it? Running a ManRoland 500, using hybrid UV inks. Will a coating, UV or AQ, stop the cling ability? :confused: Cheers

Why did you need to leave it for 3 more days after spot uv? Is the gas ghosting coming from print on other side or print trying to come through the UV?

You need a compatible varnish and coating combination duo for this to work with UV inline. Kestar(Acegeta) makes several combos. They also make a texture varnish that runs with UV coating. As for soft touch, a second pass of uv print varnish or spot coating could give you desired effects as...
