    Are the blankets loose? Are they over packed? Is the stock distorted (wavy) or not square on the gripper edge? try increasing the gripper bite by maxing out the head stops to the most foward position to gain more grip.

    Cyan unit blanket and or plate are definatly over packed wich will cause the image to shrink.

    Yep. Put a claim in on monday for McCoy Silk cover. Surface defects. Looked like craters in the stock. As usual the rep played dumb like it was the first time that he has seen the problem.

    A little expensive, but consider your 3 to 4 days of drying time or missing due dates, its a drop in the bucket. Well worth it. It put this stuff in my inks that I run on matte rigid vinyl and I am cutting and delivering the job the next day. Give it a try. Let me know how you make out.

    Speedy dry is an ink additive. SpeedyDry Be sure to follow the directions. Too much is dangerous. Offline varnish should not burn out the ink pigments. You should have your ink manufacturer make all your match colors coatable to eliminate that problem.

    Add a product called speedy dry, works excellent. Also an offline varnish would help.

    Are you using wax free inks? Too much alcohol substitute in the water will also cause this problem.

    We usually put down 2 hits of opaque white and dry trap the other colors on top. I agree with your statement "always have time to reprint"!!! Good Luck!

    We do this application all the time. We foil stamp and spot uv over it. We use C&A soft feel. Hope this helps.

    Not per physical units, I meant per printing unit. If it were a 10 color job, then yes 800 sheets for the make ready. If it were a 6 color job then 480 sheets and so on.
