It depends Normally for such custom stocks like linen or cotton paper including biodegradable online vendors are sometimes limited to that, However i have seen for standard stock items they can offer a reasonable amount and services.
Still we have a good number of printing vendors having very reasonable prices for the custom jobs. However it depends from company to company what their goals are either earning Dollars or providing long term business relationship.
Normally China or such companies overseas are more likely to be able to invest in middle east. I haven't seen any remarkable printing company collaborating with UAE here at US. However i would say you get no better investor other than US.
Yes i believe that we should give a boost to small printing and other industries at the time we are not ready to face any market slump. I would rather believe in creating oppurtunities for medium scale businesses at macro level.
I would suggest to keep the project inhouse. I have some customers who were purchasing packaging from China and approx more than half of those were not satisfied on lead time and quality they did receive to what they were expecting. so relying on local vendor would be a good option.
