EFI 4.1 same problem. Works fine for a while then goes jobs do not show up. Relaunch client and they come up as spooling as unknown format. So far EFI support is no help. Ooy

We can process maybe 30 files before I have to do something in order for it to work again. Seems a repair, or a restore gets it going again. Neither one is guaranteed to work. I do one and see, then the other. Machine is fresh with no other issues. Maybe the PDF's are crashing the CPSI on a...

I re-installed the software. Seems to work. I never had the temp files on the same disk though. I guess running for a couple of years fine might have made some corruptions :) Thanks,

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. When we drop files into the Server Client, or import files they do not appear. Only way to see them is to quit the client and relaunch. They will be there but take forever to spool. Sometimes you never see them till restart. 2003 server, 246...

I think using GMG's 3D sharpness on the Hot Folder setup is causing it. Had it set to 5 on a scale of 1-10. I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier.

It is embedded in the PDF. It is a open type Helvetica NeueLTStd font.

I have a question about the font rendering of 2 ink jet rips being different. On the GMG the font is sharp and tight. On the Oris rip the font is soft. I understand the Oris Rip uses the native dithering patterns as opposed to what GMG might be doing. Which is correct?

Heidelberg gets my vote. But I could do either. Look at the price. I think either one is customizable to fit most shops. Service and responsiveness is another thing to consider. Though I have hardly had any in the last 2 versions. Version 1 was a little bit rough.

There are 2 sets of pads, one on the left, and one on the right. I had to order a maint kit to get them. I have not put it in yet.

Our company uses GMG Ink Optimizer. It works great, it takes virtually no time to set up. Outstanding results. Does what it says it does. What more can you say?
