Need Assistance Picking a New Press

My Xerox Versant drums ordered in March just shipped. If you fall in love with Xerox hardware, consider Fujifilm if they have service in your area. Otherwise, I'd recommend a Ricoh C7500. You can get offline laminators for foiling and stuff.

Surcolor P20000 getting stalled out over network

Quick test might be isolated the offending printers on their own VLANs to see if there's an OSI model layer 2 issue or firmware bug in the printers. You should be able to do that on the switch without changing NIC settings because inter-VLAN traffic should be handled by a router at layer 3...

    Saddle Stitcher

We use a 40 year old Bostitch saddle stitcher that looks similar and its build like a tank. I'd recommend it if you can find one for a price you like and put it through its paces. I see them in auctions in the US pretty often. Not sure on UK sourcing.

Xerox Versant 3100 - 13x19 sheet duplexing image registration and backup issues

Is the lower pressure roller and cleaner due for replacement? I just had a similar issue with my V3100, but with increments of 20 270gsm coated 13x19 sheets or 50ish 120gsm 13x19 sheets. Lower pressure roller was losing grip after getting heated up as far as I know. Also try swapping in a new...

Ink Jet Printer for larger envelopes (9x12)

What is lacking from your Ricoh 7200's output? An iJetcolor envelope printer would get you a low cost per print, but would run 80k-100k and might meet your needs for print quality and speed, though it is overkill for your volume. The Ricoh 7200 is your least capital intensive solution since you...

    Are J75's still worth buying?

6 year old V3100 operator here. I've done well over 100k/month when it gets busy.

    Are J75's still worth buying?

Not as good as a Versant, particularly solids.

    Are J75's still worth buying?

We've been self-maintaining a C75 as a backup machine with days, even weeks of idle time for a couple of years. Partsdrop.com said that they anticipate ample C/J75 parts availability for years because the machines were/are so widespread. I'm considering getting a couple of more for running light...

    Konica Minolta IQ-501 worth it?

There's an "IQ-520" in their accuropress 400 toner label press. Might be the same as the 501, or upgraded to keep up with the label press' speed. I'd wait for Drupa in a few weeks, in case of new equipment announcements, show specials, and discounts on recently replaced models.
