    Xerox 2nd BTR

I understand all machines have some fault or another but I would expect a manufacturer to work to resolve such an obvious one. The fact this problem has been around so long through three generations of machine is what annoys me so much. Obviously shows they've made no attempt to fix.

    Xerox 2nd BTR

We always keep a spare on site. In Ireland here but the other week I was actually allowed order x2 and they arrived the next day. Now we have a V80 which is slightly different so maybe the V280 is experiencing delays here too. I'd phone up and order another today, say it's an unacceptable...

Water type streaks in printing jobs

Are both machines the same model? Surely if it happens on one machine and not the other that rules out the paper? Both machines in same room/environment? Does it matter if machine is cold/warm? i.e. if you run another job through the machine in case an condensation etc and then go straight to...

    Perfect binding short grain paper?

If you bind against the grain the book will suffer waves and the pages won't flow well. This video shows what I would call an extreme version.

    Iridesse to Ricoh/Konica

Something was wrong then. We just ran 4000 through our v80 yesterday and I had one jam. Only time I ever have problems is when it's a really cheap envelope or just badly boxed stock and it's warped before going in.

    Ricoh Tech Conversation Today...

We had rip issues last year with blue screen of death, mainly happening with larger file sizes. First thing the tech did was replace the ram, didn't work so hard drive after. Maybe dodgy ram?

    Versant 280 Registration

Basically the image length would be changing, so sheet 1 image might be 420mm in length then next would be 423mm then back to 420mm, just kept enlarging then shrinking like a yoyo during the run. We run Reacto on our V80, I had been using Giroform and then just after covid it starting marking...

    Versant 280 Registration

From on here the v280 still suffers same issues as v80. A few on here reported new btrs with metal rollers but that caused other issues. I've never seen these in Ireland. I will say the btr itself is different, I got sent a v280 btr by mistake and it printed but image size kept changing sheet...

    Fiery replacement

Our Impose came with our V80 too. Recently I had Xerox replacing the hard drive on our RIP and he had to reinstall everything. The tech contacted someone online to transfer the license which took a few minutes for them to reply, it was then he mentioned that the license can be transferred and...

    Versatile, Reliable, Beginner Press

Yes they said 350k SRA3 but Azehnali was refering to the 350k A4 as dreaming as per spec of the machine and why Ynot_UK was using that figure. Either way I'd be getting more than one machine for that volume, I'd say the V280 would be needing a 2nd BTR a day!

    Fiery replacement

If you have Fiery Impose with your current 2100 you should be able to transfer that license to any PC and continue using it to export imposed pdfs to load into the new 3100. Our tech told us before it's not tied to the RIP it came on.

Are Mimaki Eco Solvent Printers Any Good??

I'm no expert on wide format but I'd be looking at the profile being the problem, if same rip I'm assuming same profile on both machines. Have you tried a different stock and profile?

Are Mimaki Eco Solvent Printers Any Good??

No, mimakis are very capable machines so should be able to produce perfect solids. Are you running both off the same rip? Or seperate rips.

    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

Standard guillotine. Now that you say it I don't know why the term stack cutter is getting used recently.

    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

I agree, I always think these are an amazing bit of kit but i do think it's a complicated ROI calculation which alot of printers get wrong. We have a stack cutter so it would take a huge increase in jobs to justify something like this.

    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

I see Duplo brought out the DC-F100 which adds folding to the DC618 and DC648 https://www.printindustry.news/story/44784/the-dc-f100-from-duplo-the-folding-system-that-extends-the-capabilities-of-the-dc-618-and-dc-648

Used Xerox strategy - Color 1000i

BigSi is in new zealand where the v3100 is sold under the old fuji xerox partnership. From what I've seen the v3100i that theyre looking at over there was only released in 2020. They never got the v4100, models don't directly match normal xerox around the world.

Fuji Xerox v3100i verse Km C4070

That's terrible, I always have at least one spare btr on site for our v80. I just order like a consumable no issues at all. If you're in contact with the sale rep on the 3100 I'd start dropping hints that this is a critical issue and at the moment it's main reason you aren't interested. Push...
