Plugin Navigator 10.0 for Heidelberg suprasetter 74

Hi EMDK, I am a dealer for Xitron products here in Germany and I have to say that the Navigator RIP comes with no specified plug-in for Heidelberg Suprasetter models. You will need the " TIFF-B Import" enabled (photo attached) in the MetaDimension / Prinect workflow or Heidelberg "MetaShooter"...

    Looking for cip3 software

Zerge, 1. Separated PS-files which are not produced by the HQ-RIP like your printing plates are , could cause problems in the correctness of the CIP3-files produced by PPP. 2. PPP is only working on a Mac, I know it. You don't have have to use 1bit Tiffs in full plate resolution of 2400dpi or...

    Looking for cip3 software

Zerge, as input file for the Harlequin RIP it is better to use composite PDF or PS-files and not seperations. The important part is that you sent TIFF seperations to PPP which can be merged. Then all spot colors are processed correctly for the CIP3 generation.

    Looking for cip3 software

Hi Zerge, you wrote that you got a Harlequin RIP. All you need is the TIFF-plugin of the Harlequin RIP for producing 1bit TIFF separated files (CMYK & Spot). Then you load these seperations into PressPerCent using the setup I sent you. PPP will merge these separations together again and do the...

    Looking for cip3 software

Hi Zerge, with the Harlequin RIP and PressPerCent you are still really well equipped. You are right, PressPerCent only uses the internal Quartz PDF engine of the MAC and cannot process spot colors. However, PressPerCent can also work with Harlequin 1bit TIFF separations, combine them (see...

    Mitsubishi SDP-Eco163IIIR Platesetter

Hi Dave, I worked for Mitsubishi Paper Mills in Germany for more than 13 years before the European representation was closed. However, the SDP polyester printing plates do not contain much silver, that's right. It is much less than in the classic reprofilm. After development, part of the silver...

    Upgrading to Screen Black Box

Hi Ravi, connect your Screen black box EP-B101 with your local network. Use a tool like PortExpert (Freeware) to search your local network for the current IP-address of the black box. https://www.kcsoftwares.com/?portexpert If you got it, use an internet browser for connection to the...

Plate Calibration - Harlequin RIP - Edit From Calibrated/Uncalibrated

Sorry, but it is necessary to type in the tone values for intended and actual press under "edit from uncalibrated target" for "printing press" in the HQ-Rip.

Plate Calibration - Harlequin RIP - Edit From Calibrated/Uncalibrated

Just to clarify, I would recommend to use dot gain values for press calibration (actual & intended) in the HQ-RIP. It is easy to do and understand.

Plate Calibration - Harlequin RIP - Edit From Calibrated/Uncalibrated

You have to decide how you want to calibrate your printing process, with the ICC-Profile FOGRA 39 or with dot gain values of the "Intended Press FOGRA 39". You can read these needed dot gain values on pages 43/44 in the attached "MediaStandard_Print2018" PDF document, provided by the German...

Rip from Adobe suite or the CTP rip?

Hi Gappress, StudioRip has an integrated Adobe-compatible In-Rip-Trapping option. This option works automatically and very comfortable during the ripping process of every Job. If you don't want to touch every job with Indesign for trapping, StudioRip is a good choice.

Screen EP-B101 Ethernet Converter Box / PIF interface / Pif Box

pam_add the device plug-in for the Screen devices is an integrated part of the HQ510-RIP. HQ510-RIP is the Screen branded version of the Harlequin RIP. The oldest HQ510-RIP I know was v5 for a Katana film setter. I hope it helps you.

Who's going to Brussels for Labelexpo Europe 2019?

Hi Meizzy, I will come to the LabelExpo at least for one day. Are there any free tickets available somewhere? Even 60€ for an early registration ticket is a lot of money.

Screen EP-B101 Ethernet Converter Box / PIF interface / Pif Box

Hi Nutech Shroff, according to the Introduction.pdf above, you can use Screen´s TrueFlow & Equios workflows and the HQ510-RIP (Harlequin). For a current Harlequin-RIP e.g. Xitron Navigator v12 you would need a Xitron blue box interface instead.

Using Xitron dual - PCI and Personality (PB2Diag) Interface Boards for Topsetter

Hi pressmachines, the last Naviagtor RIP which could drive an old Xitron PCI interface would be Navigator v10 (x32) in combination with the belonging Xitron 32bit Screen PTR device plug-in. A second hand item won´t so easy to find.

Suprasetter 2540 laser resolution and Trueflow

Hi Pré-Impressao, I am selling and installing StudioRIP here in Germany beside of Xitron Harlequin RIP for 4 years now. I can really recommend it, if you need only a 1bit TIFF output for CtP. StudioRIP is more a workflow than just a RIP, a client/server 64bit application with unlimited MAC/Win...
