Yeah the white spot colour is 'Spot 1' in Onyx. You can create CMYK+W profiles in Media Manager just need to tell it from the get go.

If you have a supported spectro just make a new profile in Media Manager. It's a step by step process and quite easy.

Eco sol inks make some vinyls edge curl unless you laminate them.

To eliminate profile issues run the print again without any colour correction. As others have said, check head height and nozzle function.

Vehicle magnet sheets are usually thicker than fridge magnet stock so check that.

Speeding up the printer will normally change colour - you should really reprofile for accuracy if you do that.

It should be fairly simple to make a Spot 1 layer with those percentages of white in Illustrator. Or have 2 layers - 1 at 30% and another 100%

We trim on a Zund so not a cheap setup but you can crank out some posters

We could get close to that on 130gsm on our Colorado for qty 100. A bit more $ for less qty. We're in Sydney too.

What RIP are you using? I know in Onyx you can add a compensation factor to allow for this kind of problem. You print a line then enter the measured length then it adjusts every print afterwards.

Unless you have broad experience in signage I'd say it would be a headache

I don't know about screens but a true flatbed is very accurate for repeatability. Belt fed printers, not so much.

Ah HP latex. They never print the same length, or colour, twice

We have Engview. It's full featured (read expensive) but we really only use the libraries, the files of which are customisable.

I'm not sure why you'd want to do this. We've always just loaded the printer takeup roll staright into the laminator. I must be missing something.
