Someone I spoke with recently mentioned that they softproof files BEFORE they are Ripped. I've always heard that soft proofing should always be done AFTER Ripping in case the rip creates an issue with the file. What are your thoughts? What's your workflow for softproofing?

That's an interesting thought abc, thanks for the input. We are looking for something that is a total workflow replacement as opposed to just one piece of the puzzle. We're trying to find a solution that bridges our wide-format, with our digital & offset and brings them together into one system.

Yeah that is what I'm figuring as well. But judging from Esko's website, they don't handle conventional offset work at all. I couldn't find anything about it. Looks like the closest they get is with digital pressses.
