    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

I run a cornucopia of paper thru my 7100. Kelly brand plain (bottom of the barrel) for generic letters and the like. Newsletters and other assorted booklets, I just switched from Kelly 70# gloss to 80# gloss. Higher end stuff I will run on either Hammermill 32# plain or Verso Blazer digital...

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Have your tech check the charge roller(s). I had the similar issue and that was part of the problem. I also had to up the transfer bias since I was running a very heavy paper. But I don't suspect that same issue for your machine...

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Hate to say it, but maybe your tech messed up the settings which caused the original error. Strange because Ricoh production techs (or mine at least) know to not radically change paper catalog settings since it usually hurts more than it helps.

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Shawnd I found some of the density issues are solved by running the Execute Process Initial setting, Execute Developer Refresh, and Execute DEMS. That definitely helped with the spottiness and color variations that rear their ugly head in the middle of a run. I also had to play with the transfer...

    HP T1300 & Scrim vinyl

I can turn of the cutting for the post printing. But the plotter will still try and cut the paper when loading the roll.

    HP T1300 & Scrim vinyl

Not much. One Arch-E size poster every 3 to 4 months. I don't mind cutting the scrim by hand, but I cannot get the T1300 to not try and trim the vinyl when I load the roll into the printer.

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

I use a plockmatic booklet maker so there is no slowdown and idling when running booklets. My Ricoh tech replaced the 4 PCUs today. Looked at the image transfer belt and said it did not appear to have any cracking or signs that it could be malfunctioning. Strangely enough, running a large...

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Textured paper mode is no help for me since the mottliing occurs across regular and coated paper, text and cover weights. Our product support specialist has checked our humidity and it doesn't appear to be an issue. Next we will have to replace the transfer rollers.

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Turns out it's a mottling issue with all 4 colors across multiple media types. Changing the settings for each paper and running the developer refresh and DEMS has not helped. Any suggestions?

    No one uses scrim vinyl?

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Thank you all for the replies. I found that the lightness in the logo color was due to the designer NOT designating the logo's fill color as the Pantone color, but used approximate CMYK values. I messed with the settings more today. I increased each color's image transfer current...

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

Printing business cards on 130# Cover weight (Classic Crest 130 DTC) and running into color density/saturation issues with the logo (See attached photos: left is the correctly printed image, right is what I am getting). The image prints fine on text weight media fine. But is very light and...

    HP T1300 & Scrim vinyl

Howdy all. I have been experimenting with some 15 mil scrim vinyl on my work's HP T1300. The printing is not the problem. It prints beautifully. I just can't get the machine to completely cut the finished print. The cutter faults (i.e. retracts) about 1/4 of the way thru the cut. According...
