There are different grades of kraft paper. Often you can see the mottling already there in unprinted kraft. If the papers in your samples are different stocks then that might be the cause. Talk to your paper supplier.

Just some thoughts. Have to considered partnering with another printer to handle this kind of work? To lease or outright buy is first an accounting issue. Speak to your accountant about which makes best financial sense.
