    Fuji Xerox Versant 80 Press

Hi guys, just tried to add this to a deal we were getting in the uk, its replacing the J75 as you know, however Xerox are placing it cost wise a bit higher, the main concern here in the UK and possibly Europe, is that it will not be coming with the extended sheet option. We were told...

Is it just Ricoh or is heat sticking sheets together (blocking) same for others

Thanks guys, I have to say this stinks doesnt it? The buffer / cooling unit shouldn't be an option it should be built in by default. Its not fit for purpose without it, about time legal action was taken against these things, it would be the equivalent of buying a car without a radiator, it would...

Is it just Ricoh or is heat sticking sheets together (blocking) same for others

The machine in question was a recent install at their Leeds office, it had just been installed as a base model. We were told not to buy one without the buffer from them I have to say.

Is it just Ricoh or is heat sticking sheets together (blocking) same for others

Hi Hamster, thanks, and sorry to hear of your problems too! To us it's as bad, actually worse than the miss selling of ppi insurance and need to be brought before a legal body. The Ricoh we demoed didn't have a buffer unit fitted which is what they insist will remove the blocking, so had we...

I understand what you mean about creep etc as I guess your doing folded in half stitched in the middle calendar 'books' have...

Best digital press for printing images that are not grainy

Hi, for what its worth we have owned, Oce, Xerox & Konica equipment the best but still grainy was the Xerox 5000 but after just testing lots of machines from Konica, Canon, Ricoh and Xerox it seems that things are starting to turn a corner, at least in the £60,000 and above market from what I...

Is it just Ricoh or is heat sticking sheets together (blocking) same for others

Hi guys, just about to sign for a couple of new boxes and I came across a few reports of the faster machines not cooling quick enough and the wax toner causing sweating and then sticking of sheets in delivery, rendering them usless? We were told by sales guys that the buffer unit will remove any...

I need help deciding guys !! Xerox 1000 and Ricoh 7110 both offered in deal

Msaeger, your a Ricoh tech I see, in your opinion (not one of a sales guy) does the Ricoh suffer from a lot of paper jams?? I am currently running two Xerox dc5000 machines and apart from a water build up from the sheets sweating now and again I can count the jams on one hand over the last three...

I need help deciding guys !! Xerox 1000 and Ricoh 7110 both offered in deal

No problem, we were told that tech can make you profiles for commonly used stocks and add them to the library, they also have a gadget like a small densitometer than measures your papers content and make up to create a profile, good luck dude!

I need help deciding guys !! Xerox 1000 and Ricoh 7110 both offered in deal

Right I need to ask our sales guys about this, I do know though that without the buffer (cooling unit) that the machine would have blocking issues so they insisted we had it. You need to put your foot down firmly at the begining dude and make them sort it out for you, are you using the media...

    RICOH Pro C7100X / C7110X

We had a demo yesterday, the switch between clear and white isn't quick, our demo guy suggested more like 25-30 mins. The clear was a worry for us especially on our business card stock, only just visible even after hitting it twice, it was nice on a light silk stock though

    Ricoh 7110 tested

Hi guys just got back from my testing of the Ricoh 7110. Firstly it's built very well both inside and out. The model we were testing had suction rather than the standard feeder which was very good. Print quality was very, very flat matt and I think their claims to match as closely as possible to...

I need help deciding guys !! Xerox 1000 and Ricoh 7110 both offered in deal

Age old what is better question doesnt really exist these days does it, most mid market (lol 'entry level' wtf) machines are within a few hairs of each other. I have two offers on the table a Richo 7110 90 page a min with extended sheet, clear and white toner, standard delivery in the blue...

    Versant verse Xerox 800/1000

Just a couple of points might help, the 5000 you run is only glossy as it's an oil based device, the 1000 which is wax based can actually be controlled by using low gloss colour profiles which tames it down a bit
