Which design program do you prefer if you had to chose between these two, and why?

The only issues with transparency now are importing unflattened .ai files into Corel.

    Future of printing industry ?

Interesting. That's a good application then. But I think for the most part, the client already has a prototype or product before they design their packaging. You guys sound like maybe the exception to that rule. But even in this application, I still don't feel like it's "printing".

    Another Wide Format Forum

Hi all, Please delete if this is not allowed here. I just came across another wide format forum that, by the looks of it, could really use some of the expertise from the people in Print Planet. Most of the questions have 0 replies but are all simple enough questions that we all could help with...

    Future of printing industry ?

I recently attended Enfocus' Webinar regarding the future of graphic design and this topic came up. There were a couple of professors who were presenters and one of them argued this exact same thing. We (the print world) are only involved because they called it 3D printing. It is not printing in...

Poll: Project Management for Prepress and/or Design

Filemaker Onsite is complete garbage. It was designed for the apparel business. So if that's what your focus is, then great. But don't try to customize it to another industry. It lacks serious thought for the print/sign business, especially when it comes to prepress. There are two or three...

Front to Back registration on Canon C7010 VP

Not familiar with this printer but our old one, the trick was to always feed leading edge first. 1. Print all of side 1 2. Remove from output, flip on the short edge and put back into feeder 3. Turn image upside down on the computer 4. Print side 2.
