    One of our guys uses a method where after the unit is washed up he applies the ink forms and water form to the clean plate and lets it run for a minute or so. Then he rinses the unit again to clean out whatever came off of the plate. Using this method we still get plate wear. So I'm thinking...

    Soft Touch (feel) Aqueous Coating

    We have had great luck with Wikoff Coating... They recommend a 12-14 bcm anilox roller but we have found that a double hit of the 8.5 bcm roller gives a better "rubbery" soft feel. That viscosity seems a bit high but you should probably run what the manufacturer tells you.

    Komori 40" creasing..

    A setting of 3 on the front lay is correct for a paper .012 thick. We have been told that 1= .004 thickness in paper. So 2=.008 and so on and so forth. Also, you may want to check/ clean all the grippers on the impression cylinders as well as the transfers.

    I have actually seen this happen on newer komoris when the blowers between the units are set too high. This may help you but I am unsure as to the setup of the 2000 komoris.

    Remedy needed for static in paper stack

    We bought a pile turner/ aerator to help remedy our static problems and it has helped quite a bit. We air out every pile just before we run it and it "busts" apart the static fairly well.
