    indesign data merge quesstion

As far as I know this can not be done with standard mail merge. I would go back to the data and create a new field to build the entire line. Paul

    Move from 4300S to 8600S

Hello group. We currently have a Fuji (Screen) 4300S platesetter ran with the latest Equios/Trueflow rip. If we where to replace the 4300S with a 8600S would our current rip drive the 8600 platesetter? Would it be as simple as plugging our current rip into the new platesetter, or would a card...

    What constitutes a different postcard

I appreciate everyones input. This did not sound right to me, and you have confirmed my suspicions. Before I go back to him, can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find the official information on this? Thanks again Love this group. Paul

    What constitutes a different postcard

I also think this is not correct, but I can not find the rule that would govern this to interpret it myself.

    What constitutes a different postcard

I currently have a variable postcard in house. The front of the card is static. The back of the card has a paragraph that changes, but prints on the same shell. Basically people A get paragraph A and people B get paragraph B. My mail person tells me that this has to be mailed as two separate...

    Equios Online

kantblue, Thanks for that. I figured it was Java based, but I believe Insite is also. I really would like to stay away from Java if possible if only for support for tablets. I am not interested in color support, and I am sure I am not interested in the cost of Insite. Since I don't have any...

    Hot spot

Raymond Email sent. But wouldn't the focus affect the entire plate as well as all of the plates. I wouldn't think focus would be intermittent. Paul

    Hot spot

We have a Dart 4300S using Fuji LH-PJ plates. About 5 years old. No problems before now. In guessing this is happening on about 1 out of every 25 plates. Only on one out of 4 plate sizes.

    Hot spot

No kink in the plate, and I can not find anything on the drum. When they happen they seem to be in the same place and not moving around, so I am going with a vacuum problem. Not sure how to clean the vacuum holes, or wether I should even try. Any tips on this? Paul

    Hot spot

I have recently been getting a hot spot on the edge of our SM52 plates. Not every plate, just every once and a while. Also, this does not appear on our other sized plates. I can find to kinks or anything else wrong with the plate that would cause this. Could this be a vacuum problem? That is the...

    Illustrator Help

Stephen, Thanks for that. After trying all the methods described, I have decided to go with the live paint option. As this is going to be trapped in the rip and I want to keep items vector whenever possible. Thanks again everyone for the tremendous help. Paul
