Switch from Canon Imagepress to a Ricoh Pro C7200X?

The auto adjust on the 7200 gets me spot on both sides using 13x19 Cover gloss or C2S.

Preferred Stocks for the iJet 1175P

Western States WAS having an issue with keeping up with demand and some of the QC was off, I switched back to Printmaster and they have been running OK though our memjet and the price is good.

Wonder if we have the same customer :ROFLMAO: In the non-profit world this is getting more and more prevalent. I don't have a good answer for this, we take it on a per job basis. Had one newsletter come in with a ton of them not trimmed, like the person on the cutter just threw them in the...

    Opinions needed....

Crap flows downhill and we are the last ones in the chain. What I find happening is the older ones are retiring and the ones replacing them already have stuff they are doing so doing the mailing work comes last, especially for non-profits. Mailing the Appeals is becoming a secondary thought...

When or why is an (expensive) RIP important?

Pretty much every job we print has VDP on it, so the Fiery is needed for ripping. If you are doing 1up no VDP and your happy with color output I would roll with the built in print manager.

    Quite Imposing for VDP?

Was the Freeform dislike tied to the bustled fiery?

What to get after Xerox Versant 3100, what is in same class or a bit better?

As long as your not picky about solid blues it does fine :) The 7200 does a decent job with solids as long as proper maintenance is done on the machine, this again comes back to service. I always run two machines, I have the 7100 for a backup which comes in handy. I would go to the local demo...

What to get after Xerox Versant 3100, what is in same class or a bit better?

I am sure things are similar in the Netherlands to here in the States, ask for references to other shops of the same size running Ricoh, Konica or Canon in the area and talk to them about how the service is currently and has been, including getting supplies. That would be my first step, as...

    Iridesse to Ricoh/Konica

If you are looking to run envelopes flap closed on the Ricoh 7200 they sell an envelope feed kit that works surprisingly well for lower volumes, no more having to open up the flaps:

    Slitter, Cutter, Creaser reviews

I am sure they will last 10 years depending on your volume you run though it, but will need to be rebuilt to keep functioning correctly. You are talking about something that is cutting tight tolerances and has paper running through it which is always putting wear and tear on everything that...

    Slitter, Cutter, Creaser reviews

If memory serves me right, it was going to be around $4k to replace all the rollers in the 335. We were looking at around $15k for a rebuild of everything that touches paper so we just went new instead.

Meaning you had a Ricoh tech come in and disable the need for it to be hooked up to a printer?
