    supra lasers

Thank's for answering! I was thinking first to find and write a couple of plates just to see if it only has to do with the plate -very- glossy surface. To be honest, even if i see it happen on a different plate-an azura for examble- i 'll change the lasers power only after press issues!

    supra lasers

It's a 105 with two lasers. We recently changed plates,we were using Azura which have a mat surface, then we tried one or two positive brands but the latest-the abezeta- have a very ''glossy'' emulsion,so maybe it's got to do with this. As i wrote, the difference between the two half's was...

    supra lasers

Hi all! Plates started comin out of the ctp with a noticeable difference between the half left and the half right, like the left laser is weakened! No difference when the plate is developed, only eye check possible! Job will be printed tomorrow, should i be expecting something based on your...

    16pager

Yes Al,i have access to both preps and signa. And as i wrote above,i impose such jobs on 65x88 sheets cause our press is not printing bellow 12.5mm. My need is to know what is the common practise-if there is one- for jobs like that, when printed on presses that can print from 10mm. I'd like to...

    16pager

Thanks Al! As i wrote above i make mine a little tighter-3+3 for head gutters- But would you prepare an imposition like this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24764669/16pr.pdf on a 61x86 sheet with 10mm gripper,2mm+2mm head gutters, and 7+7mm vertical gutters-which leaves us with just 2mm...

    16pager

First, thank you for answering. I know you can do this in a number of ways, but i'm only talking about a single 16-pager,21x29.7 trimmed. As i wrote above our press prints beyond 12.5mm so we either print it on a 65x88 sheet,or scale it down to fit it on the 61x86 sheet. I'm asking how do you...

    16pager

It's pretty embarrassing-cause it's pretty basic- but since i don't know it,i have to ask it. How do you people impose a 16pager A4 brochure. Our old Roland print's beyond 12.5 mm so we have to print it to a 880x650 size. That is 12.5mm for gripper+(2x297mm) for the two pages + 6mm between...

Side by side pages, is 10 the max?

We use a very similar-musical derived- description down here, and even though it's completely wrong, everybody understands what is it about!

Side by side pages, is 10 the max?

Totally agree, since there is no limit on the number of workers they can use or in the -ridiculous- cost of labor they can set!

Side by side pages, is 10 the max?

Well Al,since it will be printed in China you should consider the manual folding option as well! ;-)

    I will! Thanks again!

    Azura alternative plates.

Really helpfull leicalsf, thanks a lot! It also helps that-forgot to mention that-we got a kind of ''late'' model with a chiller-so we 'll give it a try. You 're right on that a good processor isn't much of an investment if want your job done nice and safe, but we are at a point that every cent...

    Azura alternative plates.

Is it possible to use a conventional processor-the ones we used with films- if we go with positive plates,or will it be too slow for them?

    Azura alternative plates.

Thanks a lot! Not in the US,so don't bother refering,i'll talk to management tomorrow,if they are interested they 'll reach Fuji! Thanks again!

    Azura alternative plates.

It's not my decision, i'm very well pleased with azura and no way i'd ever wanted to go back to development/fixers/right temperatures etc... but the cost is like 3 euros less for each plate if we go for china, not a couple of cents unfortunately!

    Azura alternative plates.

Hi all! I was wandering if there is any-cheaper- alternative digital plate to Azura, and how much would it cost. The plates are allright, but the cost is almost twice as a chinese positive one! We could use chinese positive plates but then we should buy a new plate processor as well,so i...

CP85 cleaning unit makes weird noise.

Thanks Mogilski! That's my cleaner! I've tried beforehand all the above. Like i said nothing worked, till i greased the gear outside the tank, the one you get to when you remove the left upper cover. Not much of a solution, but the noise is gone and i'm really happy about it. Btw,the cleaner...

CP85 cleaning unit makes weird noise.

Well today the noise changed, making quite clear it was coming from the gears outside the tank-the ones next to the motor- Applied some grease and the noise went away, leaving us with whatever caused it...

CP85 cleaning unit makes weird noise.

ok,but i think it's rather easy to get rid of chemistry build up from the gears, why did you have to replace them? rotarypower3,mine's a little bit different: the gears are black and plastic, the bushes are square and white instead of round and black that's yours and the housing is a lot...
