    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

Not to put people out of their job but from what I see in shops that do say business cards is someone stands at the cutter for hours cutting. With this type of machines, you set the initial program load the sheets and walk away. Go over to the cutter and continue with another job. Come back when...

    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

Swapping rollers? Keep them clean with mild stuff like Simple green. Slitters can be changed as a whole head assy or rebuilt with just new blades. New heads are more $$ but rebuilding takes more labor$$. Not a huge savings. Yes the cutter and its motor get replaced as a whole unit. They wear out...

    Duplo DC-646 v Duplo DC-618

Few things on these machines. First series to the next series. 615-616 645-646-648 745-746 618 is a mix of old and new ideas. Sticking with the new stuff. 616 machine you cant take out the modules if you get a jam. Pain to clear. Where as the 645/745 series and above you can. Makes it...

    Vivid MCC-35AS slitter/cutter/creaser

Yes your image might have too many slits. You only have 6 slitter blades and 20/25 cuts per sheet. So some folks need more slitters because they are cutting out gutters rather than just a slit between the sheets.

    Folding Recommendations for Duplo 618

For all the Duplo air feed machines those feed belts stretch and underneath the belts that little tab wears out causing doubles to feed. Those little items cause lots of headaches.

    Vivid MCC-35AS slitter/cutter/creaser

What do you mean it doesn't do business card size? Maybe turn the image around so the card coming out is 3.5 not 2"

    Duplo Dusense doing labels

Im surprised about what you say about Duplo. I agree there are some dealers who have left customers hung out to dry after the sale but usually not the Mfg. I dont know anything about your machine either so I cant shed any light on the issue. Maybe withholding the payments would get a ear to...

Dynamic cutting of POD Covers - Duplo 618 or something else?

The results will probably be good however you will do in my opinion excessive wear and tear on the blades and the knife which it get costly when you need to replace them.

Try Alliance Knife in Ohio. Just remember a cheap blade will make you sharpen it more often. A inlaid blade will last you a while.

Replacing Clamp Connecting Rod on Power Max 28 (Polar 72 CE)

Do you have the two handles for the clutch? These two handles screw into the clutch face and when you tighten them in it pulls a clutch face to the flywheel then you can rotate the flywheel around and align those two halves together so you can put the sheer bolts in. You might have to manually...

    Duplo DBM120 staple problems

From my view I think the glue strip in the middle is too wide and the tiny advancement fingers slide on the glue rather than dig into the staple groove. Duplo had this issue years ago it was fixed like night and day now its back. Yes the 120 is discontinued so getting parts might be a pain. So...

    Hohner Stitcher Repairs...

Not sure if you fix it yet BUT if it has a wire tube in which the wire flows down thru replace the lower tube. It looks like a L. It wears out inside and will screw up the feeding. Also oil your wire every once in a while.

    Duplo 645 cutter/slitter/creasor

See if the belt doubled up on another. Have seen it before. Good luck on the software. Its a good but old machine. The parts that wear out and the ones not available by Duplo. The 646 is so much quicker and Ive heard the 648 is even more impressive!!!

Replacing Clamp Connecting Rod on Power Max 28 (Polar 72 CE)

Are you talking the two bolt looking things? They are special safety bolts and are easy to replace. They hold the two arms together. There is a rod with a point on it that is there basically for alignment.

Duplo DC-616: Business Card Cutting Issues

See page 29 in your book. When the cards are printed at the end of the sheets the last row gets eaten up. Try lying about the length of the sheet. 18" go 18.25 or 18.50. Too much will give you a paper jam error. You might get away with this. Almost like a built in flaw??
