Is it Worth To Buy C8000 Or Buy the C70Hc Or C6000

At 20-40k/month, the C8000 (and its replacement models, the C1085 and C1100) are way overkill. The C6000 has been replaced with a new model, the C1060. At that volume, the "lite" version, the C1060L, is the one to choose, and costs significantly less than the next model up. You can choose...

    Fiery Command Workstation 5.5

Complete IC-308 user documentation (eleven PDF files in an 18 MB zip archive) was published and posted at an internal KMBS web site on May 20. If you bought your machine through KMBS direct, ask your KMBS contact to download it for you. If you bought it through a dealer, I don't know what the...

    windows 8 on a MAC

Stephen - Parallels has the ability to take the Windows iteration from your Bootcamp partition, and present it like a virtual machine inside of Parallels on MacOS. It's one load of Windows, not two. Very handy!

    Bates numbering for carbonless paper

Quite Imposing Plus (a plug-in for Acrobat) would do this easy. You can use QIP to "Stick on Text & Numbers" to stamp numbers on the pages of the document. Then you can use QIP's "Page Tools" to duplicate each page x number of times (in your case, 4 times), with Collate set to "No," so that...

Shopping For A Digital Press: Lessons Learned

The KM C7000 and C6000 are discontinued and replaced by the C1070 and C1060, which claim improved performance on linen and textured stocks.

konica minolta 6501 vs 6000 vs xerox 700

Great color doesn't just happen. Calibration is just the beginning. Media profiling is better. Engine maintenance is fundamental. So is using the right paper, and storing it in good climatic conditions. Temperature and humidity can also affect machine performance. I'm not making excuses for...

konica minolta 6501 vs 6000 vs xerox 700

The KM C6000 has been supplanted by the C1060, with (among other features) richer toner formulations that should do well in solids. You may find a deal on a demo C6000, but do take a look at the new model.

KM C1060 upgrade from KM D550

15k/month is not a lot and the C1060 seems like overkill. Unless you have to run all 15k out in a single day. Or you need the kind of quality a production bizhub will give you. Ask about the C1060L. You can configure it as above and probably save some $$.

konica c 6000 problems with 90 gsm gloss art paper

I doubt there's a written presale promise to support paper like lfelton described. Konica publishes a Substrate Throughput Assurance Guide that is the only writing of what papers the C6/7/8000 will reliably handle, as determined through testing. Any promise made beyond that would also have to be...

konica c 6000 problems with 90 gsm gloss art paper

The C6000 does auto-duplex all the way up to around 80# cover weight. I don't know what "gloss art paper" is -- if it is a digital sheet, or the kind of paper that is typically used in machines of this kind. I'm certain your C6000 will happily auto-duplex all kinds of other papers at the same...

Konica Minolta C6000 with or without external rip

Unless you are married to Fiery, and if cost is a concern, I'd give the KM controller (model IC-601) a serious look. It performs on par with the external IC-306 Fiery and is better-integrated with the engine.

    RIP IC-601 from Konica Minolta

Being developed by KM, the IC-601 is the best-integrated controller for KM machines that you can get. If you have a history with Fiery and are used to using Command Workstation, go with that. Same for Remote Workspace and Creo. But if you are coming in carte blanche, I'd give the IC-601 a...

Help me choose between a Xerox J75 and a KM C7000 or C6000

Creo is an option with the KM C6000/C7000 although a bit more expensive than the Fiery. However he Fiery can process PPML and VPS for VDP jobs. Image registration can be adjusted as part of a paper profile.

True dat! Just not sure whether the OP's machine has that feature.

Rip problems with Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro c5501 with Fiery ic408 controller

This is called a "paper mismatch," and it's a common error with digital printers and MFPs. After changing the paper in the tray, you must go to the machine console and define the paper you put in, by three parameters: size, weight, and type. Size usually comes from the position of the guides in...

How to move from Xerox Freeflow Makeready

Consider EFI MicroPress or Fiery Central (Central requires that your print devices have a Fiery controller, the only exceptions being Docutech and Digimaster); also look into the suite of products from Alto Imaging Technologies, esp. Image Arranger.

Konica C5500/6500/5501/6501 owners - black on gloss

It's true that the KM C6000 slows down with the heaviest substrates, but so does the Ricoh Pro C651EX.

Konica C5500/6500/5501/6501 owners - black on gloss

Not a fair comparison. The Ricoh C651EX is a newer model. By the time it was introduced, the KM 5500/5501/6500/6501 models were already discontinued. If anything, the C651EX would have to be compared to a KM C6000/C7000.

Does anyone have PTI Fusion pro for sale

I don't know if the FPD license is transferable. You may not be able to activate the software if you are not the first purchaser. You may want to give PTI a call to find out.
