I'd still say it's the fuser, might be too far gone for the cleaning operation to completely clear it off. There is a cloth on the cleaner which might need to be replaced.

I'm no colour expert either so this is the blind leading the blind until someone with sight arrives. Is the clients logo originally CYMK, not RGB. When this happens to me I end up running the preflight and then taking the converted colours as an easy work around.

The streaks on the back mean the 2nd btr needs replacing. Common problem on versant 80/180/280. Have a search round this forum and you'll see plenty of articles. If you have a service contract just ask them to replace it or you can do it yourself as very simple.

To be honest I didn't do it for long. I really just ended up keeping multiple spares on site and replacing it more often. If I was running NCR I'd throw an old one back in if I'd recently replaced it. Literally have the change time down to 2mins. I've found same with the refurbished versions...

This is where I am now, the Register Paper Feeding Positions (RPFP) corrected the skew so I can adjust that now in both directions but it's maxed out the side to side on certain stocks. The print registration is bang on throughout the jobs so I think I need to get them back to test the base...

I'd recommend this, you'll need to find an out of school designer who may be interested in developing their printing knowledge. An experienced designer will only be interested in a full time graphic designer position, and would need to be paid accordingly.

So you want to hire a graphic designer to operate printing presses and pay them a low operator wage plus commission? Alot wrong with that idea. Sales people get commission to encourage them to make more sales, why would a press operator take a low wage and get commission?????

Thank you TJPrinter. Just got in the shop and ran that Register Paper Feeding Positions and it appears to have fixed it. My adjustment parameters are still the same on the skew but the adjustment needed is pretty much in the centre point of each so plenty of range to move either direction...

No clearer but just to add, we got a 280 recently (in Ireland and no performance/ASRS options) and when I go into CWS - Device - General Info ours is listed at the very top as VP280 - V.3.0

I find the temperature is key, a few degrees too hot I get random specs across the sheet, too low and it doesn't melt the toner enough. Very fine balance in my experience. I'd also recommend starting as soon as your laminator is up to temp, don't let it sit there.

Something seems strange, you're either getting a bargain on the KM or being ripped off with the Xerox. Have Xerox offered any pricing on the V280 (would need 32amp)?
