Xerox Versant 180 compatible card thickness microns vs GSM

Just in the office now and the 400gsm Magno Silk SG I use is 412mic. Also to note that was on the V80 which was only rated to 350gsm max.

Xerox Versant 180 compatible card thickness microns vs GSM

We used to run 400gsm all the time on our old v80. Not sure what mic they used to be but some where bulky enough. Registration was never an issue. Grain direction is important, mostly card stocks would be Sra3 short grain but odd ones might be cut from larger sheets.

    Xerox PrimeLink C9200

We recently updated v80 to v280 and during the negotiations this c9200 was mentioned. I didn't get pricing but sample prints were great. I felt it was a glorified copier. For us it wouldn't have worked as speed is very slow. I asked a tech and he said none had been sold here yet in Ireland but...

    Windowed Envelopes

I did a job one time, only about x100 window envelopes and needed urgently, where I actually cut out a small piece of card the size of the window and used scotch tape to cover the window of each envelope and printed one at a time. Only had normal envelopes in stock. That was fun!

Xerox Versant 80 Maintenance... How difficult is it?

I think it's clear the op can't afford / doesn't want a monthly repayment given the financial state they feel their currently in. 4p click on your current V80 sounds very low. I'd question any savings on keeping it going yourself out of contract as supplies could run more expensive. I'd...

Xerox Versant 80 Maintenance... How difficult is it?

For KM they offered finance immediately, based from last year accounts which weren't great at all. I had new accounts coming from accountant for this year which I knew would be better. For Xerox they don't do direct finance so went to two independent firms and our bank with the new accounts, all...

Xerox Versant 80 Maintenance... How difficult is it?

I don't think you'd have a problem fixing most things but it's time in doing so thatll be the problem. Ireland here. I just upgraded from v80 to v280. Our accounts are no way brilliant but we had no problem with finance, actually had a few approvals. Looked at the c4070 and couldn't believe it...

Xerox V80 NCR marking Transfer Belt

Generally standard grade, apart from a flatter printed sheet with digital grade I don't really find any advantage.

Xerox V80 NCR marking Transfer Belt

We had been using Giroform for years until this issue. We now use Reacto.

Xerox V80 NCR marking Transfer Belt

It was the NCR causing our problem, I changed brands and never had the problem again.

    Versant 280 Versions

I'm not aware of different versions. As regards the main print engine the only difference could be the Performace Model where it's rated speed on all stocks. Rip, Feeders and finishing units are what you choose. We've just signed for replacing our Versant 80 with the Versant 280 and it never...

    Xerox Alignement Issue

It might be the SIQA needs to make an adjustment more than it's capable of. I've had it before where the skew went out more than the 2mm it can compensate for. Ended up needing a tech to come in and manually reset the adjustment so it was back in range of SIQA. If you manually adjust the...

    Xerox Alignement Issue

Strange sheet size. Does the machine align ok with other stocks and sizes? If so I'd try cutting your original sheet down to sra3 or a3 and try aligning that size and the alignment should be close enough for your original size.

    Banners Quote Surprise...

That's so annoying. Does the work come in ready to go? or is anything taken care of your end? I'd certainly be interested to here Signs365 response. I always feel a trade printer has alot of ethics it has to stand.

A3 office copiers that don't slow down at 120 gsm

If the 20gsm is effecting your proposed printer then you're way off the right printer for your needs. The fact that you think that such a small difference will effect consumables also raises questions as 20gsm is nothing. What volume per month are you expecting to run?
