FORMAX Colormax9 envelope printer and the HP FI-1000 print engine

Since this is in the ink section I will keep my replies to that. My costs for ink are about $100 cheaper per cartridge for the Mach 7 vs the Mach 6, right around the same ml.

    Ijet color 1175

I have the Quadient Mach 7 so I would be interested in this, I would start a new topic as they are different from the ijets.

Formax Colormax 8 Turn key setup For Sale SOLD!

Upgraded to a new inkjet printer so my memjet has to go. An amazing deal on this with the cabinet included and ink. I would rather not ship this, the cabinet rolls so if you pick up in a truck it can be easily loaded. Located in Salisbury, MD.

Ricoh pro c5300s or konica accurio c3070

What I was referring to was you buying a refurbished machine from Ricoh and they service it (when needed) and you pay click charges. I would not recommend buying a used 7200 if you are doing pay for print, way to many things to list that could go wrong.

Ricoh pro c5300s or konica accurio c3070

With the Ricoh TCRU program they supply the parts, they "should" stockpile on your location the parts for you to swap out with. They would inturn come out to rebuild the rebuildable parts to keep your supply going. The parts like the charge rollers would just get new ones that they would keep...

Ricoh pro c5300s or konica accurio c3070

Ask your salesman if you can get trained for the TCRU program for Ricoh, they will teach you how to work on most of the common parts of the machine, at least here in the USA they will. Greenline is Ricoh's refurbished printers.

Ricoh pro c5300s or konica accurio c3070

You would be better off going with a used Ricoh 7200, ask your salesman about the greenline machines.

Mail Merge Numbering for Slitter Style Devices

I did want to thank @tngcas for that nugget of knowledge about the duplo setting, I have never used that before because we have a Graphic Whizard SCC, but it still works great also for GW's! We output 1up merged .pdf's out of XMPIE and use this for more complex imposition layouts that xmpie...

Curious what you ended up doing @ReproElectroProspero ?

    Envelope printer

The key to that statement is "what we're used to". Many have found the switch to inkjet was not as much of a fight as one would think, many of us have converted for years and not had any customer complaints about quality. The ones complaining was us being too picky.

    Envelope printer

What is way less? If you pickup a used memjet you could be making money at 25,000 /month, even less depending on how much coverage vs paying a click charge per piece.

    Konica Minolta's IQ-501

Was just curious with you guys using dedicated envelope fusers if they gave price breaks or not. I am not aware of Ricoh doing it but then again I haven't asked them. To me if you are doing enough volume to warrant an envelope fuser you might as well go to inkjet.

    Konica Minolta's IQ-501

Are you guys getting adjusted click pricing for envelopes? Guessing you are at around 3-3.6 cents per color click for standard rates.

    Intec Professional Envelope Solution CS5600

Plockmatic bought out Intec and it does not look like they sell envelope printers anymore.

    Inkjet vs. Toner for envelopes

Most that have switched from Toner to inkjet have had minimal complaints from customers about quality and the color matching can be done better with the newer HP heads using pigmented ink. Not heard anyone talk about issues with reprints hitting same colors again. Speed is a no brainer...

I had RO at home and hated how much water it wasted with backflushing, l would be curious to know how that unit does.

    humidity

I have run the air care evaporative humidifiers for the past few years and the fan was always running on high and I would have to fill that thing twice a day. This time I got an ultrasonic that really puts out water in the air, but also eats through 5 gallons of water pretty quickly. I...

    humidity

I am surprised they are running that long, this 5 gal one I got is only lasting about 10 hours, but it is throwing a smoke cloud of water out and I am still struggling to hit 30%.

    Another 'low-volume printer search' thread?!?

The Ricoh 5300 would be the smallest "Production" printer that they make. https://www.ricoh-usa.com/en/products/pd/equipment/commercial-and-industrial-printing/sheet-fed/pro-c5300s-pro-c5310s-color-sheet-fed-printer
