Versant 4100 cross process dust grabbing

I'm having a vexing issue with Cross Process / Perpendicular to the paper feed artifacts that look and feel like scratches in relatively new Versant 4100. This issue was last resolved in our versant 3100 by replacing the fuser belt module. The artifact is RAISED and you can feel it There is some...

    Xerox Versant 37mm dots

I thought "drum assy" meant the drum. I swapped the black and yellow drums temporarily and still had the issue. Three defects are 112.4mm apart. I am working off of a Versant 2100 PDF since I don't have an edoc laptop that is operational.

    Xerox Versant 37mm dots

I'm stumped on this one. I'm getting black dots about 37mm apart in the process/paper feed direction. 37mm indicates a BCR issue. Replaced the developer housing and developer entirely. Tried swapping drums. Checked the 1st BTR black roller for debris. I'm working out of an older tech manual...

Xerox Versant 80 - NCR / Horizontal Streaking

My limited experience is that Versant parts like 2nd BTRs, IBT belts, Fuser belts, developer housings, and especially drums, don't last their expected life. Spitball 60% of expected life.

    New mis software

If I were to take a guess as to why things are the way they are is 1) big companies custom build their own software in part or in full 2) a lot of smaller shops are still doing workflows manually the same way they have for decades 3) web to print software vendors don't feel the need to build out...

    New mis software

I'm in a similar boat. The plan is to switch to OnPrintShop to the extent possible, and look at Open Source ERP and CRM | Odoo for stuff we can't do with OnPrintShop and Square.

    Versant 80 Toner Lines

How do the IBT belt and decurler roller look?

Xerox Versant 80 - NCR / Horizontal Streaking

We keep a C75 alive to run NCR. Versants get premature wear on a bunch of components by NCR according to a number of techs I've talked to.

Xerox Versant 80 - NCR / Horizontal Streaking

If that artifact in the photo perpendicular to the paper feed direction (cross process) and on the bottom of the sheet, you probably need to replace or refurbish the 2nd BTR. This pattern happens to my 3100 and 4100 and is usually the 2nd BTR being done.

User Experience needed: Thermotype NSF Ultra – reliability & quirks?

I haven't used their equipment, but I was impressed with the build quality of Thermotype's equipment at Printing United and I believe the company president is a machinist. I would not expect premature mechanical failure. Hopefully you get a response from someone with operator experience.

Versant 280 jamming issue on the inverter section

You're on the right track checking for debris, but also check for broken plastic and dirty or damaged rollers. Also keep in mind that paper not traveling at the expected speed can cause jams, so a jam in that area may be caused by a worn out component nearby. Are any HFSI counters for moving...

    C3070 Registration Issues

I have never worked with KM hardware, but I've had Xerox registration issues caused by partially broken gears, stretched pulleys, and heat damaged servo motors.

    Versant 4100 - Code 078-127

I think the error may be due to the paper intermittently not arriving at the multi-feed sensor at the right time. Pop the back off of the high capacity feeder and check for stripped gears and/or damaged pulleys. There is a mechanical assembly that drives the paper transport for the module that...

Google Translate: Hello, what do you think about the RICOH Pro 8400S printer for book printing. Is it a good choice for V2 book printing.

    Would you take this offer?

Looking at their stock price over the past few years and even months I would be concerned. Pay and attorney to make sure that you have a damages clause in the service contract in case Xerox service gets to be unusable. The Gist is, if Xerox cannot service your machine within the SLA they either...

Looking to buy a Duplo 618

If no one responds, search this website for posts recommending used equipment vendors. I would not expect a 618 to come available used more than a few times per year.

    Upgrading our creasing?

For semi-auto Rollem Champion 990s come up used pretty often for like $1000-$2000 and Rollem sells parts and offers service manuals for all of their products I think, but you'd have to adjust the crease dies with an allen wrench for every changeover. For automatic you should include Horizon in...
