Run a few sheets of 13x19 cover media to "floss" the paper path in case there are little pieces of paper stuck someplace causing the dogears.

A lot of the Fierys have proprietary ASIC boards in them. Based on fiery.com, most of are shipping with SSDs for the OS and database. I agree that they are overpriced.

2nd BTRs with a part number starting in 607 are very shortlived. Are you having poor lifespans with 2nd BTRs starting with 859? I was told by Britt at parts drop not to run NCR with the metal roller because NCR will mess it up. I think NCR leaves residue. Here's a 2nd BTR rebuild instruction...

Your Fiery RIP is doing the job rendering based on an input and output profile, so accurate profiling will have to include building a profile for the Fiery software/hardware stack. I'm not familiar with the Konica iron and its software, but I will say that I have yet to encounter a digital press...

My carbonless pricing went up. Titan coated paper out of Korea hasn't changed.
