Automatically ZIP fonts folder when making an InDesign package

I've seen something similar happen before when transferring Mac fonts to Windows servers and vice versa. Best I remember (it's been awhile) it has to do with Mac OS not using file extensions so Windows doesn't recognize the files.

    Recommendations for service bureaus

We're located in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. So far most of the vendors I've found are out of the area but so are our current vendors.

    Questions...

I'm fairly new to flexo as well, was brought on to update our prepress department and streamline operations. Here's my two cents: What workflow do you use? Right now, our workflow is mainly Illustrator based with almost everything done manually. I'm looking at imposition software options...

    Recommendations for service bureaus

We currently send out our flexo plates and film for metalphoto to service bureaus for output (one supplier for flexo plates, one supplier for film). I'm looking for some alternatives to check out so that we're not totally dependent on one supplier. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Offset to Flexo

I recently made the jump myself after almost 30 years on the offset side. It's definitely different, new parameters and things to watch out for but it's been a fun challenge so far. Hope you enjoy it!

    You know you're old when . . .

I started out in the late 80's doing darkroom work and stripping. Spent many years doing paste-up and cutting rubylith. On the design side, years of marker comps and Letraset type (and hand lettering when I couldn't get the point size needed). I miss those days sometimes, computers have made...

    Hybrid workflow recommendations (flexo/screen/digital)

I’ve recently changed from many years of working in offset/digital printing to a shop that specializes in flexo and screen printing. They’re also branching out into digital printing, mainly for label production. I’m looking to modernize and streamline their workflow - ideally by moving to a .pdf...
